From the Dorm Diva founder:

It’s funny how things pan out thirty years after of college. For many years I was a
dedicated nurse, until one day I decided to make a drastic change and follow another
passion of mine – interior decorating. I went back to school and received an interior
design degree. I then started my own interior decorating business.

However, the Dorm Digs idea didn’t come about until after I moved my two sons into
their barren college dorm rooms. I was excited to use my trade and help them decorate
their rooms. Well, let’s just say my excitement was short lived. Like most college guys,
their idea of a comfortable living space only involved a flat screen TV, a comfy lazy boy,
ample fridge space for beer, and a few tasteless bikini posters that they said “really tied
the room together.”

So turning my lemon of a situation into lemonade, I came up with the Dorm Digs
concept. With Dorm Digs I could utilize my interior design business and help new college
co-eds enhance their small spaces into cozy and inviting dwellings. Dorm Digs is not
just about unique and functional accessories to buy, but an informational web page that
helps young women transition into their new environment. I welcome any comments or
